Queen Elizabeth Hospital Courtyard mural

I was approached to create an uplifting mural for the inside of one of enclosed courtyards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The space was quite dreary and the staff were keen to get some colour into the space. Due to the uneven corrugated surface (which was also perforated) I decided to keep the design quite simple. The final design was made up of shapes of colour that eluded to a landscape with gum leaves in the foreground.

Wall dimensions: 16m x 2.5m

Commissioned in August 2021.
