'Familiar Pathways (Wittunga Botanical Gardens)'

Painted from sketches and studies made in the Wittunga Botanical Gardens in Adelaide, South Australia. My eye was drawn to the intricate web-like shadows cast onto the central pathway. Having grown up in the area, and frequented the botanical gardens, I was interested in studying these pathways that were both innately familiar and new in a different chapter of my life.
‘Familiar Pathways’ was selected as a finalist for the Gallery M Contemporary art prize 2023.
