This piece, 'Park Life' eludes to the sanctuary that the parklands provide to the urban heart of the Adelaide CBD. My studio is situated in the city and the Adelaide Botanical Gardens has been a place to seek inspiration. The layered details of foliage, the hit of greenery and a cool spot in the shade can transport you away from the buzz of daily life.'Parklife' is about getting lost in the detail of a garden space. It is a form of meditation to take time to sit amongst and get lost in the complexity of a garden space. To stop and smell the roses. With the design of our city hugged in a green ring of park lands, we are creating a space for recreation, a buffer between the energy of the city and the lives in the suburbs.
