Botanical Illustration workshop | 25/02/2023

This workshop covers drawing, basic watercolour techniques and an introduction to mixed media to work towards creating your own botanical illustrations.
Perfect for beginners and those with a little more experience, this class focuses on achieving watercolour renderings of floral paintings- from drawing to watercolour applications.
In the first half of the class, there will be an introduction to basic watercolour techniques and mixed media approaches to creating your own botanical illustration.
What to expect:
How to begin a sketch beginning with basic leaf shapes. A discussion about composition and how to draw and paint various botanical shapes.
Discussion about how to construct a botanical illustration- layering, colour mixing and mixed media.
Basic watercolour techniques. Techniques and materials list.
A break down on how to create your own watercolour illustration. A relaxed and encouraging environment with practical tips and tricks along the way!
Small, intimate class of 10 participants ensuring plenty of time for discussion and questions.

Virtual ticket information:
I have created a virtual ticket option for those unable to attend these workshops in-person. On the day of the workshop you will receive a Zoom password and class ID. Once you have purchased your ticket I will email you the material list you will need to have to following the class. I will also send you a PDF with information that we will be discussing in the class and any other resources you will need to follow along at home.
REFUND POLICY
Thank you for your interest in attending one of my workshops! Here are a few things to consider as you book the class:
We require a minimum of 5 participants for the class to go ahead. In the unfortunate case that a minimum number is not met we will look to reschedule the class to another date. Teacher reserves the right to cancel a class based on this number or in the case of illness etc. Participants will be notified with as much notice as possible so please make sure you have added your best contact details.
CANCELLATIONS
Refunds can only be issued outside of 7 days leading up to the workshop time and date. After that time frame a transfer of the ticket to another date/ workshop will be happily arranged. By purchasing this ticket you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
