Tangkaira Cafe Mural (Adelaide CBD)

I was commissioned to paint this interior mural on the inside of Tangkaira Cafe (now closed). The owners were drawn to the botanical murals I had done previously. I was inspired by the fig trees in Hurtle Square and wanted to highlight the intricate patterns of the cells of the leaves. These same cell shapes also linked back to the gridded map of the city.
